Rome was not built in a day

All of us must hear some stories about overnight success. Such as a tech guy built a mobile app and got a lot of money by selling it. An average girl who came from an ordinary family matriculated by a top school.
These stories may be real, and give people an illusion which convinced us that overnight success is possible. People are willing to believe this illusion, because they hope they can achieve their dream with a little effort. But if we investigate further, we may find these stories are incomplete. The guy had finished school ahead of schedule, cheap jerseys, mastered every field of computer, and done a lot of market researches before finishing the app. The girl had put her heart and soul into education and life for 18 years before getting the enrollment notification. The overnight success stories happen after taking countless days and nights. No one could succeed at one stroke except wining the lottery.
There is an old saying " Gold will glitter forever. " But how we know whether we are the gold?
The answer is easy. Looking backward, do you find some dots that connect in your future?
Do you get little achievements for your goal?
If the answer is NO, well, stop building the castles in the air. It's also a good choice to live a plain life. But it is not late to accumulate achievements and polish your faculties from now on.
The man who moved a mountain began by carrying away small stones. The accomplishment of ambition needs to pay hard work step by step.
